Most of you reading this no doubt start your day with a strong coffee yet, how much do you really know about that hot cup of delicious? Seriously, do you really think that the fancy label means that much? Coffeecon is here to help and it’s coming to Seattle the weekend of July 28th and 29th and they’ve got the good stuff so you’re going to want to check it out.
Organizers Kevin and Patricia Sinnott are clearly passionate about what they’re doing and they know that bringing an event like this to a place like Seattle is like bringing your guitar to Nashville to show them how to play. In other words, they know what they’re getting into and will be bringing together some of the best minds in the industry to give the public a one-stop shop for the latest in information and new tech that’s having an impact.
Want to know about how the beans are produced? They’ve got you covered. Want to know how to roast your own coffee at home? You can learn how to at this event. Hell, they even have classes on how “Latte Art” so you can learn how to do it yourself. And yes, of course, you can also buy coffee there.
The goal of this event is to give the public and the industry a chance to engage and interact with each other. You’ll get to ask all of those weird questions you’ve always wanted to know but where too scared to ask your local Barista and get real answers from people who really know what they’re talking about.
This year they’re hosting it at the Fremont Studio which, while not the biggest events center, is one of the more intimate while still being large enough to hold a crowd. The only bad news is that, due to the size, it might sell out.
