This is a typical Japanese dry seasoning that sounds like some weird sex thing but is instead used in the same way that we use Salt and Pepper. Honestly, I like this stuff better and while you can buy it in most Asian markets, it’s just as easy to make it yourself if you have a coffee grinder.
This takes simple white rice and turns it into meal.
Mise En Place
- Coffee Grinder
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons roasted Sesame Seeds
- 1 tablespoon of Salt
- 1 sheet of Nori (Seaweed, it’s the same stuff they wrap Sushi with)
Method of Preparation
- Crumble the Nori and pulse for a few seconds
- Add the Salt and the toasted Sesame Seeds and pulse again but don’t grind it to a powder since you want it to have some texture.
